Pardon me…

February 17, 2009 at 1:31 am (general)

…but let me say that I had a Grrreat time Saturday Night. Many, many thanks to everyone. Michael, his slave, and Rob for helped with pre-setup. Jess, J. from SC, and Taylor for figured out how to squeeze in more people than usual even with the reserved tables. Believe it or not, this was one of the biggest Rope::Burns so far, as we got SLAMMED with ticket orders on the 13th. Jess also worked the door the whole night, which is not exactly fun. Danny rocked the bar, and I’m sure he broke a few hearts. Remember, you can see him every week at BaGG. Tina and Angel were absolutely gracious hostesses, and as for the sushi platters, Lilla was as sultry as S. was adorable. Gregg helped out even in his injured state, and Shatter and Makita really outdid themselves with the music, working one of my favorite songs into the last set, in two different renditions.

I think it’s safe to say that Maggie Mayhem stole the show with her solo act. Expect me to take it out of her hide at a future Rope::Burn. (The informal petition starts in the comments section on her blog. )

But, my heart really goes out to the two girls who let me do horrible things to them that night: Kyhm and Lydia. Lydia and Khym. On Valentine’s day, I was the luckiest man in the world. To really do the show right, I have to fall in love (at least a little bit) with each subject. I don’t just pick any girl for the show, the ones I do usually make it easy, but it’s almost always hard.

Watch me break my own heart again at the next Rope::Burn on April 11! Yes it’s the Saturday before Easter, so we will be having a special dice game for the girls clothes!

Hope to see you there!
