Preparing & Conditioning Hemp Rope
w/ Mike West
Friday 2:30pm – 4:00pm
C-2

Level: All
Requisite Skills: boil water

Whether you are a cheap bastard, a DIY junkie, a control freak, or all three, there’s lots to be said for conditioning your own hemp rope. This class goes over the steps I use to condition my rope, and you see the progress as we will have cooking-show samples of the results of each step. We’ll also have lots of samples and supplies for the hands’ on portion of the class, oiling (with vegan oil) and whipping of the ends with my favorite whipping. Wear old clothes or bring an apron as the oil may stain.

It’s the Cinch: Tight Ties & Immobilization
w/ Mike West
Friday 4:30pm – 6:00pm
C-4

Level: Intermediate
Requisite Skills: basic understanding of safety and anatomy, know at least one good way to start and finish a basic tie

For some people, there is nothing more exquisite than the feeling of binding or being bound extremely tightly. This class explores the mental and physical aspects of very tight bondage and allows students to see first hand why hemp rope is well suited for this purpose. The class will cover good and bad areas for tight body wraps as well as techniques for cinching to a pole, post, or chair.

In the second part of the class, the instructor will cover further methods of immobilization including limb suspension ties where the subject’s torso remains on the ground. Break out your school uniforms as the instructor shows how grade-school geometry and physics can help you immobilize your subjects.

21′-30′ lengths of 6mm hemp or jute rope are recommended. Hemp rope will be provided those that do not have any. Please do not bring synthetic rope.

Comfort Schmomfort: Sadism with Rope

C-6

Level: Intermediate
Requisite Skills: basic understanding of safety and anatomy, sadistic or masochistic mindset

One part motivational speech, one part round table, and one part open lab, this session explores the how and why of making ties that challenge the subject. We will blur the line between Bondage and Sadomasochism, and explore various ways to make bondage itself erotically painful.

21′-30′ lengths of 6mm hemp or jute rope are recommended. Hemp rope will be provided those that do not have any. Please do not bring synthetic rope.

Need for Speed: Techniques and Practice for Lightning Quick Suspension
Sunday 4:30pm – 6:00pm
C-5

Level: Advanced
Requisite Skills: solid rope handling skills

“Look. Let me make this quick. Sometime ya gotta tie someone up, and ya gotta do it fast. That’s where I come in, see? I’ll show you a chest tie that’s fast. How fast? Well, if we were in Boston, they’d say it was Wicked Fast. In San Francisco, it would be Hella Fast. But enough with the geography lesson, we’ve got people to tie. So I’ll show you how to get a leg up in the air real fast, too. Oh so you’re a wiseguy? Well then I’ll show you what you need to know to get the other leg up, you guessed it, fast. All along I’ll show you how to keep it real safe. wouldn’t want anyone to get… damaged, now would we?”

“‘Is this the fastest way to get someone up in the air?’ Probably not, but its good and fast, and sexy. Capisce?”

“After a little break, we’ll all practice. You can do it my way, or you can practice your own favorite ties, and I’ll give you tips on making them take less time.”
