Just in time for Valentines’ Day, I’m teaching a very special class for intimate couples: Rope Bondage as Foreplay.
This class will show how the act of tying itself can be seductive and arousing. This is not “bedroom bondage” — making sex slings, spread eagles, and strap-on harnesses, but rather an exercise using the whole process of putting rope on a partner as a warm up to whatever the final love act might be (wherever it might happen.)
Think Barry White.
This class has space for 5 couples of any gender. We are asking that partners are comfortable being intimate with each-other in a semi-public setting — bottoms should be “OK” being lightly kissed and having (at least some of) their erogenous zones touched by their tops. Bottoms need to wear form-fitting but supple clothing, or nothing at all. Tight long johns and leotards are good, baggy t-shirts and boxers are bad, corsets and jeans are verboten.
I’ll be teaching the class primarily for couples who do not switch, but couples who do want to switch during the class may do so.
I will provide comfortable floor pads, but you may want to bring your own towel or yoga mat as well. The studio has a big gas heater that works well. Please bring 3×25′ lengths of 6mm (1/4″) natural fiber rope. (Hemp/jute, silk, cotton.) Rope kits will be for sale at the class – $75 for 3×25′ of hand-conditioned hemp. Do not bring synthetic fiber rope.
Before the main class, I’ll be leading a workshop showing the basic ties we will use in the later class. If you’ve taken one of my classes before, this workshop is optional, but I do recommend it as a refresher. I’ll have coffee, bagels, and juice to help get everyone going! I’m also leaving some extra time at the end of the class for practice, Q&A and individual coaching.
